About Us
We are excited to grand open our first Winged Feed and Seed location in Newport, MN. We are local owners, residing in Eagan. We have a passion for creativity and a drive to make an impact. While our birding expertise is still fledgling, we are excited to have a chance to fill a void in this community.
Winged Feed and Seed will carry Wild Bird Seed, Feeders, and a variety of other fun and exciting birding items. In addition, our selection will also include items for our cooped friends - chickens! We plan to eventually carry select Beekeeping products as well as local honey products! Lastly, we will have native seed selection to help with your suburban landscape vision. Our intent is to carry locally sourced products (specialty as well as more frequently purchased items) across our selection.
Cooped - Chicken feed and supplies
For our customers who are expert chicken ranchers to those just beginning to care for their domesticated flocks, we intend to be a one stop shop to meet your needs. We plan to carry locally sourced chicken feed - both pellets and crumble, scratch, meal worms and other treats. Our selection of supplies will be enough to meet your needs throughout all seasons of care. We also have a select list of coop builders who can assist with your coop needs.
Buzzed - Bee supplies
For our customers who have kept an apiary for years to those new to beekeeping, we plan to be a well stocked location to satisfy your spring through fall beekeeping needs. We will not carry bees, however, we will carry the necessary selection for hive expansion, treatment, and some honey extraction.
Rooted - Native Prairie Seed and Restoration
We are passionate about native prairies and want to help enable a more natural landscape at your home. Our selection will include specific native seed mixes from this area of the state. Additionally, we have a partnership with a local company XXXXX who specializes in restoring small scale urban landscapes. Please reach out for more details and so we can help move your vision forward. We have experience in restoring urban landscapes and would be happy to discuss our projects and make connections with contractors as needed.
