Finch Special is a premium mix features thistle and fine sunflower chips, specifically tailored to attract finches and other small songbirds. Thistle seeds provide a high-energy source, while fine sunflower chips offer a smaller sized seed for finch. Whether scattered in feeders or sprinkled on the ground, this blend works for either.

Getting birds interested in a newly hung thistle feeder can be a real challenge.
I put this in my old finch tube. The kernels were a bit too big to be accessible since my feeder has pretty fine holes, but 10 minutes of careful work with a needle file to get the holes around 2.5mm wide and it was good.
Hung it with this mix, and around 5 days later, i regionally have gold finches and house finches! It's proven very popular, and I've struggled for a long time to get consistent gold finch feeding until I tried this
Love all the bird seed I get from Winged Feed and Seed! The smaller birds love the Finch Special. I will definitely be back for more seed!
I mix 50:50 with the "Mr. Bird", Flamming hot feast after sorting out the peanuts.
The mixture is well liked by Am Gold Finches, Daqrk Eyed Juncos, Chickadees, Downy & Harried & red bellied woodpeckers, flicker, house finches,,,,,

The finches seem to slightly prefer this mix over the pure thistle seed.
