Golden Safflower is a great choice for discerning bird enthusiasts! With a high protein content, its high in nutrition and low in waste. This seed is loved by our local birds and disliked by squirrels. Its also not a favorite for Starlings (cannot crack hull) or Grackles!

Works great. Squirrels / grackles dont eat it
Serves as a squirrel deterrent but not total deterrent. If hungry the squirrels adapt and eat but not like with white safflower. Unfortunately, safflower shells are left behind so somewhat messy
So many birds are enjoying this food. It's a treat to see all the different types of birds on the feeder.
Great recommendation of golden safflower as squirrels do not like it. Both times I've been in they have been very friendly and helpful.
